For those who had left and those who are struggling

Long term performance project

First performance:
3 days, 8 hours a day
2 – 4 April
10:00 – 18:00 (Berlin time)

In these days that our lives have suddenly changed into something very strange1, we all feel like walking a tightrope.

Since November 2019 we have lost thousands of people from almost all over the world because of COVID-19. The cases and the deaths are still increasing hundreds by hundreds, people are dying all alone and we even cannot burry them with funerals as they deserve, we even cannot bid farewell.

In this apocalyptic time that I’m stuck in my room as we all are, I want to start to a long-term project in order to give myself time to remember all the souls who have passed away, to mourn, and to send strength to all the ones who are struggling in their homes, in hospitals, in prisons, in refugee camps and to come together with everyone whose stuck in homes or in a room.

For those who had left and those who are struggling is a long-term performance project that I’ll be performing every month for 3 days until I don’t feel necessity to do it anymore. It is always going to be shown online even in the future days where I hope I’ll have the opportunity again to perform live in front of an audience.

The performance is going to be live-streamed through my Vimeo account:

1Thanks to dear Michelle Gurevich for her song “Love from a distance” whom I borrow that expression and thanks to Fenia Kotsopoulou for letting me know about this beautiful, touching song.
